What a creative and generous community!

Those of us who were lucky enough to secure tickets to the Special Education Support Group’s Art Auction were treated to a wonderful afternoon at Russell’s on Sunday.  The Ballroom was filled with beautiful art works, and there were more being raffled and silently auctioned in the Cottage.  There was good wine, good coffee, delicious pizzas and cakes…great conversation, and a fabulous atmosphere.  Katrina the MC, a whole team of parents and students volunteering their services in various roles – including Albert the Auctioneer: all ensured that the event was warmly energetic and lots of fun. Many of us left with a beautiful art work or two or three, and I’m sure even those who didn’t succeed in making a purchase enjoyed watching others vie for their favourite pieces.

Approximately $6,000 was raised and all proceeds go directly to supporting students at Willunga Waldorf School in having an education tailored to meet their special needs.

Hearty congratulations and many, many thanks to all involved.
