Happy 25th Birthday Willunga Waldorf School!

On Monday there was a special assembly to mark our 25th Birthday.

The students were treated to a story by our founding Kindergarten teacher, Marita Huxholl. An ancient Chinese proverb claims that in order to know where you are going, you need to know where you came from. Marita took great delight in sharing this story and made it interesting and accessible to all age groups.

The assembly also included wonderful musical and spoken contributions from students and Class 12 students, Bea Hanna, spoke about her journey through the school and her gratitude for what it has given her.

In celebration of our 25th anniversary, we are collecting stories about what ex-students are doing now and we were delighted to have brother and sister, Inger and Nick Borema make a special appearance at our assembly. Inger made the Dragon Garden for her Year 12 project as a gift to her Primary School. Inger has a host of qualifications and at one time, held the title of Australian Youth Ambassador in Bali. Inger's most recent achievement was bringing her first child, Julian Timothy into the world just two weeks ago.

Nick is currently completing a PhD in engineering with a focus on alternative energy and was recently awarded a university medal for outstanding achievement.

Thanks Nick and Inger for launching our birthday celebration of old scholars!
